Two new majors added to SCBC’s undergraduate degree programs

Two new majors for South China Business College’s undergraduate degree programs have been approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE).The newly-added majors are International Journalism and Communication, and Broadcasting and Hosting.

The two newly-approved majors were results of SCBC’s unremitting efforts to develop undergraduate programs by leveraging the advantages of its distinctive educational model. The new majors were developed with the goal of building an integrated industry-education-media training system to cultivate innovative, application-oriented and versatile undergraduates well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to better serve society. The additions also marked a big step forward in SCBC’s endeavor to promote coordinated multi-disciplinary development by offering urgently-needed majors in new liberal arts and new engineering.

On the basis of the sustainable disciplinary system with its own features, SCBC will continue to strive to build an important platform for cultivating high-level broadcasters and journalists for the New Era who are competent and innovative in service of the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road initiative.
