Wang Sheng accepted into National QINGMIAO Growing Painters Program, Guangzhou

 
  Recently good news has arrived that Wang Sheng from SCBC’s School of Education has been accepted in the third Guangzhou National QINGMIAO Growing Painters Program. The program is a non-for-profit painter training plan organized by the China National Academy of Painting, Guangzhou Academy of Painting, and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to cultivate world-class professionals in fine arts, open to high-achieving painters from colleges and universities in China.
 
 
 
  In September, Wang’s works “Twilight” and “Dialogue No. 2: Archeology of Exam Papers” were included in the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, an event held every five years by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and China Artists Association. “Twilight” was also seen in October in the “Marks of the Times” engraving exhibition co-sponsored by Central Academy of Fine Arts and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and in the “Ode to the Motherland” exhibition of nominated advent-guard painters ” by Guangzhou Academy of Painting.
 
  What is particularly notable is that 93 art works produced by students from the School of Education have been included in the themed exhibition “International Day of Mark: China’s Mark” of Guangdong Industrial Design World Expo 2019, all under the supervision of Wang Sheng and five of them awarded “Honorable Mentions”. With that, SCBC has also received honors as an recognition of its excellence in organizing students and its efforts in social services.
