Aichi Toho University, Japan Signing a Memorandum on a Co-operative Agreement During Its Visit to SCBC
Executive Vice President Lai Zhili met, at 309 of the Administrative Building, Kiko Naoki, Board Chairman of Aichi Toho University, and his entourage on the morning of Feb.22. Both parties signed a memorandum on an agreement to enact academic and cultural exchanges between the two schools.
Extending his warm welcome to Mr. Kiko Naoki and his group for the visit, Vice President Lai Zhili briefed the visitors on the school-running history and characteristics of SCBC.
On behalf of Aichi Toho University, Kiko Naoki, complimenting SCBC on its characteristics of running the school and expressing his expectations to co-operate with SCBC, made a tentative account of ways to engage SCBC in exchange and co-operation.
Having discussed the details around the co-operation, Lai Zhili and Kiko Naoki, each representing his own school, signed the memorandum on the agreement. Based on the memorandum, both schools will exchange their teachers and staff for further education. Both schools will, on a yearly basis, select and send to the other school exchange students and will reciprocally accept fee-paying international students from the other. Meanwhile, extensive co-operation will kick off in such aspects as training students with double degrees, starting short term seminars as well as language classes.
After the meeting, visitors from Aichi Toho University were walked around the campus of SCBC, which impressed them with unique school buildings and spectacular views of nature.
Also present at the meeting were Prof. Nakayama Takashio, Director of Business operations from Aichi Toho University, Director Yang Jianjun, Division of Center for Co-operation and Exchange, Dean Qin Mingwu and Deputy Dean Wu Li from School of Oriental Languages and Cultures, and Dean Xu Jinghua of the Department of Japanese Language of SCBC.
