The Collaborative Innovation Center for Airport Economy at SCBC Will Be Shaped into a High-end Think Tank for Municipal Governments, Enterprises and Schools
On the morning of November 3rd, a seminar was held at 309 in the Administrative Building on the project of developing a collaborative center for airport economy. A Supplementary Agreement on the Strategic Co-operation for the Collaborative Innovation Center for Airport Economy was signed at 309 in the Administrative Building by reps from such organizations as SCBC, the Federation of Social Sciences Society of Guangzhou Municipality, Baiyun International Logistics, Co. Ltd., Yitong Business Aviation Services, Co. Ltd., Airport Management of Guangdong Province, and Hoseo University, Korea. The signing of the agreement will prompt the development of the airport economy in Guangzhou through the creation of high-end think tanks shaped by tapping resources from the Collaborative Center for Airport Economy at SCBC, municipal governments, enterprises, schools and research institutions.
The collaborative innovation center for the airport economy was set up in March of 2015, when progress was made and target dates were met through coordinated efforts from all co-operative organizations and institutions. All these efforts have cleared the paths for the research and training at SCBC of international-oriented and application-oriented personnel needed for the development of the airport economic zone, the research of the growth of airport economy, and the social and cultural construction of the airport economic zone. SCBC expects that, through the platform of the collaborative innovation center for the airport economy, greater progress and more outstanding achievements will be made in such aspects as the training and innovation of personnel, the expansion of technological research channels, the hooking-up of scientific and technological programs and improvement in the quality of research in science and technology.
The mission of the center is described as “collaborative innovation targeted at the airport economy to serve the whole society by pooling resources from all walks of life like governments, businesses, schools and research institutions”. Efforts should be made to build a basic high-end think tank for the airport economy to serve society by following the basic mode for collaborative innovation through joint efforts of governments, businesses, schools and research institutions; by focusing on the study of airport economy; and by enforcing the operational mechanisms of “integrating resources with an international vision to drive projects for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in a coordinated and standardized development.”
