Spanish Teachers Invited to Attend the Spanish National Day Reception
October 12th is the National Day of Spain and the Spanish Consulate General in Guangzhou held the Spanish National Day reception. Zhu Xuewen, dean of the Department of Spanish Language and Culture and Spanish teacher Sara Lara Martinez were invited to attend the conference.
This year is the 43 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and Spain. More than 5000 entrepreneurs and businessmen participate in Guangzhou Fair each year, and the trade at the Pearl River Delta has accounted for 1/3 of the total Sino-Spain trade volume. With Spanish language use getting more and more popular in China, SCBC and Spanish education settings have established a close cooperative relationship, the number of SCBC students studying in Spain has been sharply increasing in recent years.
SCBC teachers' participation in the National Day reception has laid a good foundation for cooperation with the Spanish Consulate in Guangzhou, which can well set up a broader platform for the future development of SCBC's international exchanges and partnership.
