Representatives of Massy University Visit SCBC

 

  A delegation from New Zealand visited SCBC on the afternoon of October 11.  Zhili Lai, executive vice president of SCBC, received the guest in Room 309 of administrative building.

 

 

  The visiting delegates are Prof. Chris Moore (毛力士), Director of International Department, Massey Business School of Massy University; Zhu Zhaoxin, President of Oakland International College and Liu Wenying, Secretary General of the New Zealand Preponderant Discipline League.

 

  At the meeting, Zhili Lai briefed the guests on SCBC.  SCBC is a college of undergraduate education with a distinctive strength in foreign language studies. It has set up disciplines mainly in foreign languages and business management.  Actively engaged in international cooperation, SCBC has already established partnership with 56 colleges and universities from 15 countries and regions, the purpose of which, according to Zhili Lai, is to facilitate students with the channels of studying abroad during their undergraduate programs or at graduation.

 

  Chris Moore then introduced the profile of Massey University. Massey University is well-known as a comprehensive public university founded in 1927.  It consists of three campuses: Palmerston North , Oakland and Wellington, with current enrollments of 36 thousand students. Its Schools of Business, Design, Veterinary, Agricultural science, Aviation are excellent in academic researches. According to The Times' 2010 world university rankings, Massey University was ranked within the world's top 200 comprehensive academic research institutions.This visit, according to Mr. Moor, was intended to seek opportunities for cooperation with SCBC.

 

 

  Afterwards, both sides shared views and ideas in depth about the cooperation, exchanged souvenirs and had pictures taken.
