SCBC Students Achieve High Pass Rate in International JLPT
(SCBS Web News) In the international Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) of July this year, SCBC Japanese majors achieved exciting success: some students of 2014 enrollment took the JLPT N1, the highest level of international Japanese Language Proficiency Test, with 80% of pass rate , way higher than the last year's world-wide general pass rate (28.5%) by 51.5 percentage points. Another 91 Japanese majors of the same class took the JLPT N2 (Level 2) test and the pass rate is 85.7%, by far exceeding the 2015 December world-wide pass rate (37.6%) by 48.1 percentage points.
It is reported that JLPT, a complete set of assessment and examination created by the Japan International Exchange Foundation and Japan International Education Support Association in 1984, is a test of Japanese Proficiency of the non-native Japanese learners administered ever since 1984 in involved countries and regions.
