Ranking the National First Place, SCBC Student Scores the Highest in EEE 4
Wang Ziwen, a Spanish major of Class 2017 from College of Western Languages and Cultures, SCBC, earned 96.6 out of 100 scores in the 2015 Test for Spanish Majors Band 4, ranking the first place nationwide with his outstanding achievement.
Test for Spanish Majors Band 4, Examen de Especialidad Espanola Nivel-4 (EEE 4) in Spanish, is a national test conducted annually by the Spanish Group of the National Advisory Committee on Teaching Foreign Languages to Majors in Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, aiming to evaluate the teaching quality of the intermediate level of the major and to test the students' learning outcome. Wang Ziwen stands out against the "titans" of the arena, in which smart students from the first-class universities all over the country compete to score high, while Wang is second to none in this competition and becomes a pioneer to win the first place by setting a historic record for students of independent colleges.
Wang has now been in his one-year exchange study at University of Autonoma Barcelona since August and is enjoying a wonderful college life in Spain, an SCBC teacher says.
SCBC Student Earns Full Marks in JLPT N2
Pan Liangtong, a Japanese major of Class 3 of 2014 enrollment of the College of Oriental Languages and Cultures, has recently passed with full marks (180 marks) the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 conducted in July 2015, which is a third full-mark student from the Japanese Department in the last 3 consecutive years.
JLPT, popularly called the National Test in Japanese, is a test administered by Japanese government in 5 Levels from N1 to N5, with N1 as the top level. N2 is equivalent to the level of Test for English Majors Band 4 in China, and N2 certificate is widely acknowledged as the stepping stone for seeking employment in Japanese enterprises or being admitted to study in Japanese higher education.
