Student Fellowship Concert:Music Beyond the Border Conveys Sino-Russian Friendship
In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the Chinese Anti-Japanese War, a Chinese and Russian Students fellowship concert was staged at the SCBC plaza on the evening of May 14.
Peace is the eternal theme of humanity -- As the hostess of the Pushkin university choir, in a purple dress, was entering on stage, the audience cheered her in with "Wows" and applause. While the piano tune was flowing from the fingertips, the choir started its beautiful and moving singing that expressed the cherishing and longing for peace. At the end of singing "Our Best Wishes", the choir spread a banner with the words in Chinese "We wish you happiness", presenting their heartfelt blessing to SCBC students and faculty.
When, hand in hand, Chinese and Russian girls sang the Russian song "Cranberries in Full Blossom", the evening was highlighted by the beautiful, familiar and nostalgic melody that evokes memories of the traditional friendship between China and Russia and expectation of the future Sino-Russian Relations to be developed to a higher level.
Later, SCBC foreign teachers performed a traditional Scottish folk song "Auld lang syne". When the familiar melody was voiced, people on and beneath the stage were elated and merged into a sea of joy, friendship and blessing, as the lyric expresses.
At the end of the show, Chinese and Russian students started their pictures taken on the stage.
