SCBC Set Up E-Commerce Maker Platform Students to Do Cross-border Biz On Campus
“The Center for E-Commerce Makers” was officially set up at SCBC on April 13, which is reportedly the first established cross-border e-commerce start-up practice platform led .by higher-education settings.
Li Genyin, Dean of the College of Business and Finance, introduced that the cross-border E-Commerce has been developed rapidly in recent years. It has brought about a strong demand for talents, but a large shortage appears. “People in this profession should be familiar with international business and trade rules, be able to operate in E-commerce, and have to be highly proficient in foreign languages as well.” Li added. According to Li, the Center for E-Commerce Makers will offer students a practice platform that can facilitate their career planning and business start-up, enhance academics of the electronic business major and promote the cooperation of production, learning and research in this respect.
The Center for E-Commerce Makers will provide students with hands-on experiences of E-commerce through such means as outsourcing project agency, offline stores and foreign language services, and as is affiliated to the college, the platform will offer students practical guide authentically, according to the report.
