Experiencing the Charm of Chinese Traditional Painting

 

  A cultural exchange activity for Chinese and foreign students in SCBC on the theme of “Experiencing the Charm of Chinese Traditional Culture” was recently held in Room F303 by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature(DCLL). The vice President Ms. Wang was present.
 
 
  Immersed in the Chinese cultural atmosphere of the occasion, the teachers and students of DCLL conversed with foreign students in Chinese by appreciating Chinese traditional paintings. This practice teaching activity provided students with a platform of communication in Chinese, while the foreign students were given a taste of the charm of Chinese language and Chinese traditional painting as well as some perceptual knowledge of the history and skills of the painting. Besides, students of the International Chinese Education major also gained some valuable teaching experience.

 

 

 

Korean Culture Week Jointly Hosted by South Korea Tourism Organization and SCBC
 
  December, 1st witnessed the commencement of the Korean Culture Week in the business street held jointly by the the South Korea Tourism Organization and SCBC, in which a variety of activities went on for five consecutive days. The huge placards presented teachers and students with photos of drool worthy delicacies, traditional customs, fascinating sceneries and traditional musical instruments of Korea. The quiz on Korean culture, in which the first and second prize winners were awarded generously, aroused the enthusiasm among students for their Korean language learning by experiencing colorful Korean culture. Trying on traditional Korean costume and making kimchi also helped teachers and students to get a deeper personal understanding of Korean culture.
 
 

 

 

 

SCBC Students Win the 7th National College E-Commerce Innovation Contest
 
  Student team from SCBC has recently won the grand prize in the 7th National Collegiate E-Commerce Innovation and Application Contest. SCBC was awarded the Best Leadership, Mr. Zheng Jianhui the Excellent Advisor and Wu Zemin the National Star of Innovation. Competing with 200 teams in the group of undergraduates, “Jinying Team”, the champion of Guangdong and Guangxi Division, introduced the creative concept of integrating the QR code with financial product management, which aimed at promoting the mobile phone banking.
 
 
  The 7th National Collegiate E-Commerce Innovation and Application Contest was held by the Internet Society of China and co-sponsored by Postal Savings Bank of China under the guidance of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with the support of Ministry of Education. About 170, 000 contestants from over 3,000 universities and colleges in China have enthusiastically participated in the contest.
