Learn Chinese calligraphy, appreciate Chinese culture
On October 22nd, 12 foreign students from Korea, Japan and France experienced a Chinese calligraphy class tutored by Mr. Lan Mingkun from the college library.
In the class, foreign students learned to write Chinese characters “厚德载物 hou de zai wu” (The conveyance of good depends on concrete virtues) using the brush stylus. They also learned the cultural connotation of these four characters, observed the techniques with great attention, and their imitation of the brushstrokes was surprisingly similar to that of the teacher.
