PE Teaching Reform Undertaken In Our College
—Extracurricular PE Clubs Are Introduced
Eight extracurricular PE clubs have been set up and started to recruit members, which include table tennis, badminton, tennis, golf, martial arts, taekwondo, international-style ballroom dancing, and aerobic dancing. The recruitment has been started and over one thousand students have made their applications or come for consultation just within two days.
The club system of PE courses is the model of teaching with which students, based on college’s sports facilities, will choose their own programs, schedules, and tutors for their PE learning in their respective club activities. This teaching model involves PE teaching, extracurricular activities, training of college athletic teams and campus sports culture into an organic system that fully demonstrates a new “student-centered” teaching-learning relationship.
