SCBC Teachers and Students Joined in the Academic Summer Camps at University of Bolton, England
Invited by Martin Shaw, Dean of Business College, University of Bolton, a group of 9 SCBC teachers and students joined in the university’s academic summer camps this last August. During the one-month study, they participated in the curriculum programs elaborately designed by the organizers, together with more than100 teachers and students from 10 colleges and universities around the world. Besides attending a variety of academic lectures delivered by outstanding people from all walks of life, they have been tutored by teachers from the Language Center in small English language classes, experiencing traditional British model of college tutelage. It is also worth mentioning that SCBC students, by virtue of their active communication and classroom interactivity, were impressed and appreciated by speakers and teachers there.
SCBC Students in Egypt Attended National Day Gala Held by Chinese Overseas and Expatriates
SCBC’s exchange teachers and students in Egypt were invited to attend the National Day Gala sponsored by China-Egypt Cultural Exchange Association, China weekly Press and the Center for China International Educational Exchange. At the party, SCBC students sang “Red Sun” for the blessing of our motherland. According to our exchange students, the program listed a variety of distinctive performances such as singing and dancing, aerobics, and Tai Chi, performed by young students as well as Chinese and Egyptian artists. The whole party was brilliant and won from the audience outbursts of applause.
Cai Jinlin: Traveled 11 Countries with her 30,000 Yuan Savings
Alumna Cai Jinlin, an International Trade major of Class 2007, not contented with the easy life after graduation, resigned her job from a state-owned enterprise and took a journey alone with her 30,000 Yuan savings from work. She traveled 11 countries within half a year, such as Cambodia, Thailand, Jordan, and so on, and meanwhile gathered for herself a rich and valuable wealth of life. With the belief of “a world fenceless, a life boundless”, she firmly trudged and left her footprints in the exotic lands, through which she has broadened her own vision and transcended herself.
SCBC Professor Zhang Yuming Initiated Research Projects in Cooperation with CISMEF
Professor Zhang Yuming, Vice President of School of International Business Management, has recently been entrusted for a fifth time by China International Small and Medium Enterprise Fair (CISMEF) to undertake two crosswise research projects -- “the 11th CISMEF Performance Appraisal” and “the 11th CISMEF Analysis and Research of Reform Effectiveness”. These projects will be conducive to SCBC’s construction of a new major this year, namely, the Bachelor degree major of Convention-exhibition Economy and Management. They will also exert great impact over the promotion of SCBC’s academic research, college profile and services for the local economy.
