Impressive Achievement of the Spanish Proficiency Test at SCBC

 

  At SCBC, 81 out of 142 students of the Spanish Language major passed the 2014 Spanish Proficiency Test (EEE-4), with the pass rate reaching 57%. Two of these students successfully hit the Excellent Grade by earning scores above 120, and 34 reached the Good Grade. The statistics reported that, this year’s pass rate of graduating students has more than doubled against last year’s at SCBC. The SCBC average shows 8.1 scores higher than the national average mark of the previous year, which counts for about 12 percent higher than the national average in terms of pass-rate of the last 3 successive years.

 

 

SCBC Send 19 Students to Study Overseas in Egypt
 
  On the afternoon of 16th September, a send-off party for students to study in Egypt was held in Room 309 of the Administration Building.
 
 
  It is reported that 19 students majoring in Arabic from the School of Asian-Oriental Languages and Cultures will study overseas in Egypt from September this year to June next year. Specifically, Zhu Xiaju and another 9 students will study at the University of Tanta, Guo Yanshan and another 8 will study at the University of Alexandria.
 
 
Farewell Party Held for Exchange Students to Japan
 
  On 17th September, a farewell meeting was held in Room 309 of the Administration Building for the 10 students of the Japanese Language and Culture major who will set out to study in CBC, Japan for one semester as exchange students. Since 2010, a total of 26 students have got the opportunity to study in that college.
 
 
 
Welcome Gala for Freshmen – A Song of Post-90s Youth
 
  On September 18th, the evening of SCBC campus, filled with light cluster brilliance and students’ joy and jubilance, was festive, buoyant and glamorous, as the Freshmen Welcome Gala 2014 & the Opening Ceremony of the 8th SCBC Art Festival was launched in the amphitheater at the Business Center. Li Dong, the secretary of the SCBC Party Committee and Yuan Changqing, the Vice President, joined the ceremony and enjoyed watching the performance. The program was composed of 3 chapters: The Sunglow at Dawn, The Sunrise Splendor and The Sunshine in the Azure Sky.
 
 
 
2014 Military Training Parade Reviewed -- 112 Outstanding Trainees Honored
 
  On the morning of 19th September, over 2400 military-training freshmen of the class of 2014 were reviewed at the college’s stadium for a Military Parade Inspection. Also, on the ceremony, the outstanding were commended, which included 8 training instructors, 112 trainees, 3 school counselors, 8 platoons and 9 model dorm rooms.
