The Pass Rate of CET 4 Hits a New Height at SCBC
The SCBC students of the Class of 2012 have achieved a pass rate of 92.15%, according to the recently-issued results of the National Certificate of English Test –Level 4 (CET 4). This achievement marks a new height in SCBC’s history and fully demonstrates the college’s educational traits of "strength in foreign languages".
The statistics reported that, at SCBC, 1,725 out of 1,872 test-takers from the Class of 2012 succeeded in passing the CET 4 conducted earlier this year. This success should also be owed to the faculty of the Department of College English Teaching, who has been willing to reform the pedagogy and, in line with the college’s development strategy, adopting the “Task-based Teaching Model” with the combination of Formative Assessment and Summative Assessment for students’ learning outcomes.
