Foreign Students Visit Lingnan Impression Park
Foreign students had a closer look at Chinese culture lately as they visited the Lingnan Impression Part located at Guangzhou’s Panyu District. Professor Rogelio Daniel Vélez García, an exchange scholar from Celaya University in Mexico, also joined the tour to get firsthand experience of Lingnan customs and folk arts and feel the charm of local culture and history.
Representatives from Concordia University -Wisconsin Visit SCBC
On April 21, Dr. Yang Fei from the China office of Concordia University -Wisconsin in America led a delegation to visit SCBC and was welcomed by Mr. Yang Jianjun, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division. The two sides discussed the details of cooperation in the “3+1+1”accelerated bachelor and master degrees program, such as credit transfer, course articulation, enrollment requirement and so on.
Representatives from Munich University of Applied Languages Visit SCBC
On April 23, Li Bing from the China office of Munich University of Applied Languages in Germany and his colleagues came to visit SCBC. Mr. Yang Jianjun, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division, and Prof. Xu Feng, head of the Department of European Languages and Cultures, met with the guests and had an in-depth discussion on the cooperation of the “2+3+0.5”accelerated degree program.
Arabic, Japanese and Korean Cultures Show Held at SCBC
The Arabic, Japanese and Korean Cultures Show, as part of the Oriental Parade as well as of SCBC’s 4th Science and Arts Festival, organized by the Youth League of Department of Asian Languages and Cultures, was held in Room F305 on April 22. The participants of Arabic, Japanese and Korean language majors performed in teams their well-prepared dramas in their respective languages to showcase the daily life, cultures and arts of Arabic countries, Japan and South Korea.
