 International Students: Have A Taste of Chinese Culture

 

     Recently, nine international students from Mexico and South Korea took part in a series of extra-curricular activities to experience Chinese culture, including calligraphy, Jiaozi making, paper cutting, etc. They also tried to talk in Mandarin in the process to express the excitement and fun of learning about Chinese culture.

  


 

 

 Professor from Celaya University in Mexico Gives A Remote Lecture to SCBC Students 


     On April 14, Mr. Roberto Rohas Aguilar, head of the Department of Architecture of Celaya University in Mexico, gave a remote video lecture entitled “Mexican Architecture” to junior students of the Spanish Language at SCBC, the first time ever of such teaching between the two institutions.

   


 

 

President of Bellevue University in America Visits SCBC


    
On April 15, Ms. Mary Hawkins, President of Bellevue University in America, paid a visit to SCBC and was welcomed by President Xu Zhenhua and Vice President Lai Zhili. The two sides exchanged ideas on such issues as teacher communication and “2+2”articulation programs. In the meeting, Ms. Hawkins spoke highly of SCBC students now studying at her university. She also expected further cooperation in the future.

 

 

 


 Korean Students of Golf to Coach SCBC’s Golf Training Class


     Recently, SCBC had planned to set up a golf training class and invite two students from South Korea’s Jungwon University as coaches. The two students majoring in Golf are both certified professional golf coaches in South Korea, with more than 7 years in golfing. In the demonstration session on April 15, the two coaches showed the learners several golf skills like full swing and putting and then instructed them in the practice.
