President of Tanta University in Egypt Visits SCBC
On April 10, Mr. Abdel Hakim Abdel Khalik Khali, President of Tanta University in Egypt, led a delegation to visit SCBC and was welcomed by President Xu Zhenhua. In the meeting, the two sides discussed such issues as teacher communication and student exchanges, with particular focus on cooperation in “2+2”program, 10-day student summer camp, and exchange or further studies project for teachers. Mr.Abdel Hakim Abdel Khalik Khali also expected more substantial cooperations in the future.
Former Embassador to Mongolia Talks on Diplomatic Protocol
SCBC invited Mr. Gao Shumao, former Embassador to Mongolia and former Director of the World Affairs Press, as the 31st speaker of the Liberal Arts Forum to give a lecture on diplomatic protocol in Lecture Hall C201 on April 10. In the lecture, Mr. Gao talked with good humor about the principles and rules in diplomatic communication, citing many interesting examples from his own career as a diplomat.
