Delegation from Argentine ICBC Foundation Visits SCBC
On the afternoon of November 1, a delegation from Argentine ICBC Foundation visited SCBC. The delegation, with members including Mr. Alejandro M. Funes Lastra, deputy consul-general of Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Guangzhou, Professor Cerini Silvana María from Argentine ICBC Foundation, Team Manager Emma Fontanet, Mr. Juan Pablo Willmott, and 20 Argentine students, will visit several cities in China to seek partnership with Chinese colleges and universities as well as to promote international cooperation and development in trade between the two countries. The students in the delegation will work on their individual projects in the tour as they visit universities and talk with Chinese college students.
Consul-General of Argentine Consulate General in Guangzhou Visits SCBC
On October 29, Mr. Julio C. Ferrari Freyre and Mr. Alejandro M. Funes Lastra, consul-general and deputy consul-general of Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Guangzhou, led a delegate to visit SCBC. In the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish cooperation partnership and reached a preliminary agreement on several projects. The Consul-General expressed the hope of collaboration with SCBC so as to help students of the two countries understand each other’s culture and promote the exchange and cooperation in academic research and cultural studies.
Representative from St. Petersburg State University in Russia Visits SCBC
On October 29, Mr. Huang Tao, a representative from St. Petersburg State University’s China Office paid a visit to SCBC and discussed the student exchange projects with Vice President Lai Zhili. As Russian language is a newly-approved major for enrollment this year, said Mr. Lai, he hoped that SCBC would establish cooperation and exchange partnership with Russian higher learning institutions
Vice President Lai Zhili Leads Delegation to Visit Four Universities in South Korea
From October 18 to 27, Vice President Lai Zhili led a SCBC delegation to visit Sangmyung University, Hoseo University, Soon Chun Hyang University, and Jungwon University in South Korea. The delegation took a close look at the development of these four universities, exchanged ideas on further exchange in the future, and signed a series of cooperation agreements. Besides, the delegation also paid a visit to SCBC students in South Korea.
Mr. Kaku Junpei from CBC in Japan Talks about Japan’s Internationalization
On October 23, Mr. Kaku Junpei, a teacher from Communication and Business College in Japan, gave a talk entitled “Internationalization and International Students in Japan” to SCBC students and teachers of Japanese language in Room G106. Besides an introduction to the life and study of international students in Japan, the speaker also answered the audience’s questions and gave practical suggestions as to seeking further studies or employment in Japan.
