     Representatives from Public University of Navarra Visit SCBC
 
Recently, Mr. Luis Hernandez, chief of International Affairs from the Public University of Navarra in Spain, and Chi Xiaodi, manager of its Asian Cooperation Program, paid a visit to SCBC. Mr. Lai Zhili, vice president of SCBC, held a meeting with the guests and discussed the exchange program and postgraduate program with them. The two parties agreed to cooperate in several areas, including student exchanges, collaborative research, mutual visits of teachers, and academic exchanges.
 
 
Lai Zhili Visits Embassy of Spain in Beijing
 
On March 13, Mr. Lai Zhili, vice president of SCBC, headed a delegation to visit the Embassy of Spain in Beijing and was warmly welcomed by Ms. Maria Fa Corbeira, Counselor of Education Section. Lai expressed the hope of further cooperation and exchange with institutions of higher learning in Spain, which was also echoed by Ms. Fa Corbeira.
 
 
 
SCBC Delegation Visits Cervantes Institute in Beijing
 
On March 13, a SCBC delegation, led by Vice President Lai Zhili, paid a visit to Cervantes Institute in Beijing, and was welcomed by Ms.Olga Chapado Chorro, director of Teaching and Research Division, who presented an introduction of the Institute to the group. At the meeting, Lai expressed the hope of further cooperation and exchange to achieve win-win situation for the two sides.
 
 
 
Director of Program at Holland College in Canada Visits SCBC
     On March 20, Mr. Dave Beaton, director of Program at Holland College in Canada, led a delegation to visit SCBC, thanks to the recommendation of the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou. At the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation partnership and exchanged information in terms of student development and teacher training in the two institutions.
 
 
 
Zhao Guangjun: More Volunteerism, More Happiness
 
SCBC’s Care for Post-90s Forum (those who were born in the 1990s) invited Zhao Guangjun, a National Moral Model and one of the Top Ten Outstanding Volunteers in China, as the keynote speaker for the 4th section of the Forum held on March 19. In his speech entitled “More Volunteerism, More Happiness—An Interpretation of the 18th National Congress of CPC”, Zhao told the audience his own stories and experiences in volunteer services. Though in plain and simple language, his understanding of volunteerism deeply touched everyone in the audience.
