Faculty and Staff Training Held for the New Semester
The new semester’s faculty and staff training program kicked off at the Lecture Hall and Room C301 on the morning of August 31. The two-day training helped all the faculty and staff better acquaint themselves with SCBC’s regulatory system and rules, management philosophy of higher education, working requirements, teaching styles as well as teachers’ virtues.
Vice President of Japan’s Shinpo International Institute Visits SCBC
On September 3, Mr. Maeoka, vice president of Japan’s Shinpo International Institute, paid a visit to SCBC and held talks with Liang Xiaoqi, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, about student exchange programs. Peng Zhifang, executive vice president of SCBC, headed a delegation to visit Shinpo International Institute previously in June 2012. This Institute holds successful experience in postgraduate preparatory courses. teaching.
Representative from American Products & Services Center Inc. Visits SCBC
On September 4, Mr Johnathan Chen from American Products & Services Center Inc. visited SCBC and discussed the possibilities of international exchange programs and cultural resourses sharing with Lai Zhili, vice-president of the college. Later, Mr. Chen dropped in the Department of College English and exchanged ideas on English teaching methods with the teachers.
SCBC Hails the 28th Teachers’ Day and Honors Outstanding Faculty and Staff Members
To celebrate the upcoming 28th Teachers’ Day (September 10 ) and commend outstanding faculty and staff members, SCBC held a faculty and staff assembly at the Lecture Hall on September 6. The assembly bestowed awards to 6 individuals for their special contributions, 52 staff members for their outstanding performances, and 35 teachers for their excellent teaching achievements, including three foreign teachers, Mathieu, John and Kim Sun Hee.
The Whole SCBC Mobilized to Welcome New Students
When more than 2000 new students arrived successively on September 8, SCBC welcomed them with perfect one-stop services. With the help of smiling volunteers, new students were able to complete all the formalities for registration, tuition payment, accommodation and so on within 15 minutes. The orderly and thoughtful services were well-received by the new comers and their parents.
Opening Ceremony Held for Grade 2012 Freshmen
On September 9, the opening ceremony & mobilization for Grade 2012 freshmen’s military training was held at the Business Plaza. In their new uniforms and caps, the freshmen welcomed “the first course in college” with refreshing spirit.On September 9 to 21, the freshmen will be participating in various kinds of trainings, involving marching, arrest boxing, women’s self defense, self-help, mutual-aid, firefighting, emergency evacuation, etc.. After the opening ceremony and mobilization, the military training for Grade 2012 freshmen officially started.
