 Our College Plans to Enroll 2,400 Students This Year, Added a Newly Ratified Major of Business English

     Recently, according to the Ministry of Education, our college plans to enroll 2,400 undergraduates (including 100 students outside Guangdong province), 200 more than last year, from 17 provinces (autonomous regions or municipalities directly under the Central Government)—Guangdong, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Anhui. Of the 19 majors, 8 are foreign language majors, including English, Business English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German, French and Arabic. What’s more, non-foreign language majors are designed to enroll 6 English-only classes and 1 bilingual class. Besides, 8 majors, including Marketing, Tourism Management, Logistics Management, Accounting, Finance, Chinese Language & Literature, Computer Science and Technology and English, plans to enroll students as main categories with multi-specialties confirmed respectively in accordance with the rules and regulations of our college in two years after the students’ entrance.
     As a newly added major of this year, Business English is inaugurated to enroll students for the first time. Furthermore, 2 specialties are augmented, respectively Travel Agency Management in Tourism Management and Air Logistics in Logistics Management.
 
 
Blood Donation of Our Teachers and Students—A Token of Love
 
     On May 10th, a blood donation was carried out by Young Volunteers Action Instruction Center of our college beside Teaching Building C. About 400 teachers and students came to donate blood.

 

 

Fun Sports Games— I Enjoy and I’m Delighted
     On May 10th, the Fun Sports Games of “Sunny Sports” Series was held at Lighting Basketball Court. About 300 students got together to experience the fun of sports through various sports programs, including volleyball, soccer, table tennis, bowling, kicking shuttlecock, rope skipping and race.

 

 

Thesis Oral Defense of 2012 Undergraduates
     From May 3rd to 6th, 2012 undergraduates of our college ushered in the last examination of their four-year college life, namely Thesis (Design) Oral Defense involving two stages of PPT presentation and interlocution. Attaching great importance to this Defense, the students, under the instruction of their supervisors, were well prepared to attend in full vigor.
